Build your network. Defend the uptime.

SiteGround is an interactive online game about servers and internet infrastructure. Assemble racks, host your clients’ websites, fight off DDoS attacks and compete with other operators for the most reliable data center on the map.

01 — About the game

The internet runs on servers. Now they’re yours.

Every website you open lives somewhere: in a rack, in a data center, watched over by people who don’t sleep when traffic spikes. SiteGround turns that invisible work into a game.

Start with a single server in a back room and grow into a network of data centers around the world. Take on client orders, balance the load, keep an eye on temperatures and budget — and be ready for someone to take down your prod at 3 a.m.

02 — Gameplay

Everything you love and fear about production

Six systems running at the same time. Drop the ball on one, and your clients will move to the operator next door.

Core

Build data centers

Racks, power, cooling and networking. Every rack unit counts: let the hall overheat and your servers start dropping offline one by one.

Economy

Host client projects

From a personal blog to a marketplace on Black Friday. More traffic means more revenue — and more trouble.

PvE · PvP

Fight off attacks

DDoS, botnets, data leaks and the “accidental” rm -rf. Harden your defenses before prod goes down.

World map

Expand across regions

Unlock locations around the globe and cut latency for your clients.

Multiplayer

Alliances and rivalry

Team up with other operators and share bandwidth — or poach each other’s clients.

Upgrades

Upgrade your hardware

From a second-hand server in your garage to your own campus with liquid cooling.

03 — How to play

Three steps from server closet to cloud

  1. Build your first rack

Pick your hardware, wire up power and network. The budget is tight — every decision matters.

    rack init
  2. Sign up clients

Take hosting orders, meet your SLAs and grow your reputation. Happy clients bring in new ones.

    deploy --prod
  3. Scale and defend

Expand into new regions, automate the routine and hold the line when they come for you.

    scale --region=eu-2

04 — Demo

Try it now: the operator terminal

A tiny slice of the game, right in your browser. Deploy a few sites, add some servers — then see what happens when you DDoS yourself.

The demo runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. It’s a simplified model — the real game goes much deeper, and demo progress doesn’t carry over.
